Winners by Sleyf

This was a tough choice for both of us, but after much deliberation we have finally decided on the winners!

Thank you once more to everyone who entered, the contest would never have been a success without your efforts!

Break2 by Sleyf

First Place

Sultry Seas Cover- Contest Entry by Captain-Savvy

We both agreed that this one should get first place based on your understanding of the characters and the ability to remove them from their setting and fit them into another but making it work! Plus anything with a tagline like that deserves to be read as I have no idea how you can swash a buckle so must find out.

You win

  • 1x (single character) A4 full-body marker commission from Calicot-ZC
  • 1x (single character) full length illustration by InkyRose
  • 1x (single character) digital colour portrait by Sleyf
  • 500 :points: (InkyRose)
  • Jounral feature by InkyRose

Second Place

CE: Romantic Cheese-Fest by ExplosiveCoffee

For a fantastic pose and rich colour, not to mention the title sounds like one of those old 80s films you might find at a video rental that no one remembers...

You win

  • 1x (single character) waist-up marker commission from Calicot-ZC
  • 2x costume design commission from InkyRose
  • 1x (single character) greyscale digital portrait by Sleyf
  • 250 :points: (InkyRose)
  • Journal feature by InkyRose

Third Place

The Tailor s captive by Voodoo-kiss

For understanding the characters and adding in that all-too-present dramatic wind blowing hair...wherever those come from!

You win

Bonus Prizes

Because you guys made it so difficult for us to choose, we felt that everyone deserved to win something!

The Alverdale Tangle II (Romance Cover Contest) by RatPrince
Wins - An Illustration for a stunning piece of artwork and a pervy swan peeking round a corner  - it must be Zeus in disguise :fear: that story always terrified me. Oh yes, and also taking the characters and setting them into a new story that promises even more melodrama!

Dance of Passion by DancesWithDreams
Wins - :points: for dedicated research into the setting of the couple and producing a truly atmospheric piece with Gothic lightening flashes for perfect drama at those convenient moments!

Mature Content

Contest: What Governs a Soldier by AmaranthineRain

Wins - :points: for giving us a new favourite word to use on a daily basis in and out of context regardless -  'mannishly' - and for writing a truly entertaining excerpt worthy of a public reading at a romance novelist convention methinks.

Break2 by Sleyf

Thanks once more to everyone who took the time to enter this contest, you have no idea how much we appreciate it, and hope you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed the results (really you all outdid yourselves with this one, and a new collection of cringe-worthy novels should join the ranks of those already out there!)

We shall contact you all regarding prizes soon!
